ICOC Vienna-Budapest Tour in September 2014

ICOC and TKF have just officially announced the dates for their Vienna – Budapest Tour 15-21 September 2014 and released a preliminary program.

The program in Vienna includes visits and lectures at several museums, including the Museum of Applied Art (MAK) with it’s newly installed carpet section and at the Museum of Natural History with the famous Hallstatt Textiles.

Two special exhibitions, organized by TKF, will be a part of the events i Vienna. One exhibition entitled  “Classical Carpets from Austrian Collections” and another exhibition of ethnological textiles. A dealer’s fair will also be a part of the Vienna program.

Transport from Vienna to Budapest will be by bus with a stop at the Monastry of Esztergom and it’s collection of the former archbishop’s carpets.

The preliminary program in Budapest includes visit and lectures at the Museum of Applied Art, and a more detailled program will be released late in 2013.
