This years Istanbul Carpet Week will take place Thursday 25 October to Sunday 28 October 2018. The event includes Istanbul Rug Show, Istanbul International Carpet Conference, The 12th National Carpet Design Contest and also a reception and exhibition of Anatolian kilims from Vakiflar Kilim Museum at the newly restored Istanbul Carpet Museum.

The opening of a photo exhibition of Anatolian carpets and a mini-symposium took place 14 March 2013 in Ankara. This event entitled ‘Romanian-Turkish Culturel Confluences: Romania’s Heritage of Old Anatolian Rugs’ was organised by the Romanian Embassy, the Romanian Cultural Institute and the Turkish Yunku Emre Institute.
The ICOC Turkey lectures took place 18 June in the morning and included lectures by Suzan Bayraktaroðlu, Vedat Karadag and Stefano Ionescu. Sumru Krody was moderator.
