Persian and Chinese carpets at Bruun Rasmussen

Bruun Rasmussens auction “Furniture, carpets, silver, ceramics & glass” will take place 4 December 2020 in Bredgade, Copenhagen.

The auction includes a limited number (11 lots) of Oriental carpets, French textiles and Chinese carpets. The carpet sale starts at 2 pm. The preview exhibtion in Bredgade is open for the public 26-30 November 2020.

The highlight among the Oriental carpets is a large Mohtasham Kashan, lot 735, in the classical slightly stylised maner and in a soft color tone.

Lot 735. An antique Kashan Mohtasham carpet, Persia. A classical stylized medallion design on a blue field with stylized palmettes, rosettes, arabesques, flowers, foliage and bird motifs. Late 19th/early 20th century. 375 x 310 cm. Est. 3.350-4.000 Euro.
Lot 754. A Chinese Peking carpet. Design of flower vines and butterflies on an open one-coloured field. Early 20th century. 587 x 306 cm. Est. Euro 5.300-6.700
Lot 742. A Teheran carpet, Persia. A all over design. C. 560,000 kn. pr. sqm. C. 1940. 405 x 316 cm. Est. 8000-10.000 Euro
Lot 720. A Brussels 16th century tapestry. “ISAAC BLESSING JACOB”. Executed in wool and silk. H. 271 cm. W. 308 cm. Est. Euro 2.700-4.000
