Islamic art week in London

This years Islamic art week in London will take place 24-26 April.

Both Bonhams and Christies will hold specialist carpet auctions. Christies “Oriental Rugs and Carpets” will begin 24 April at 10.30 and Bonhams “Oriental and European Rugs and Carpets” will start 25 April at 11.00.

Sothebys has not arranged a specialist carpet auction but their sale “Arts of The Islamic World” 25 April will include some twenty rugs and carpets in the second session. Second session, which includes the carpet lots in the end of the session, begins at 14.30.
