Freeman’s Oriental Rugs & Carpets

Freeman’s auction “Oriental Rugs & Carpets” will take place 10 October 2012 at 12:00 noon in Philadelphia. The viewing exhibition is open for the public Friday 5 October 10 am – 4:30 pm, Saturday 6 October 12 noon – 5 pm and Monday 8 October 10 am – 4:30 pm.

This auction includes 125 old, semi-antique and antique rugs and carpets. Most of them, circa 70 %, are Persian rugs but also Caucasian, Anatolian, Chinese and Indian rugs are present. Nearly all lots are knotted pile rugs.

Lot 815. Sarouk Fereghan carpet, west persia, circa late 19th century, Estimate: $4000 – 6000
Lot 818. Bakshaish Carpet, north persia, circa late 19th century, Estimate: $4000 – 6000
Lot 823. Khorassan carpet, northeast persia, circa 1st quarter 20th century, Estimate: $7000 – 9000
Lot 819. Kashmir silk carpet, north india, circa 2nd half 20th century, Estimate: $5000 – 7000
