Mission continuation, independence, new state of the art facilities, protection for the collection, higher intellectual opportunities, improved access to the collection. The affiliation between the TM and George Washington University achieves the aspirations of everyone with rug and textile interests”.

The new museum is scheduled to open in mid-2014 and will be located in The George Washington University’s Foggy Bottom campus.
