The Farjam Collection, current and coming carpet exhibitions

The Farjam Collection DIFC, Dubai, displays a rotating series of exhibitions drawn from The Farjam Collection. The Farjam Collection features Islamic and pre-Islamic art, Contemporary Middle-Eastern art and International Modern and Contemporary Art. The Islamic section of this collection includes items produced throughout the vast region between Andalusia and Mughal India. Among other ancient and antique treasures it also includes textiles and fine carpets.

Safavid carpets
The current exhibition entitled “Chants From Paradise, A Selection of Safavid Carpets from The Farjam Collection” has been extended from its November closing date and will run through 31 January 2012. This exhibition includes an impressing selection of Safavid carpets from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Miri Creation carpets
The next exhibition will be an exhibition of Miri Creation Carpets from The Farjam Collection, entitled “Jazz From Paradise”. This exhibition will open on the 13 February 2012.
