In the first week of June 2020, from 3-5 June, the ICOC in conjunction with the TKF and the Mongolian Centre of the University of Vienna will organise a symposium ”Textiles from Eurasia – Revisiting the Silkroad”. The symposium will take place in the centre of Vienna at Palais Breuner.

A specialised lecture programme, exibitions and excursions to relevant venues will round up this stimulating event.

The symposium ”Textiles from Eurasia – Revisiting the Silkroad” is inspired by the ICOC Tour “Carpets and Collections of the Alpine Area” in 2019. “This event gave access to little-known museums, monasteries and imperial palaces in the mountainous region of Germany, Austria and Northern Italy. The overall success of this format was indeed a great inspiration for future event formats” says Peter Bichler to Jozan Magazine.
