Report from the ongoing Tehran Handmade Carpet Fair

The 21st Tehran Handmade Carpet Fair takes place from 23-29 September 2012 at Tehran International Fairgrounds. According to information from the Iranian authorities more than 45 countries has sent trade delegates to the fair. Iran National Carpet Center (INCC) is the organizer of the exhibition.

“Today was the first day of Tehran Carpet Fair which will continue for 6 days” said Manouchehr Haghighat, a Tehran carpet dealer, to Jozan Magazine. “Most of the sellers are exhibiting new city carpets and some of the sellers, formerly selling antique carpets, are now selling new Qashqai, Bijar and Arak carpets” he continued.
