Volkmann-Treffen 2014 in Berlin

The annual Volkmann-Treffen 2014 will take place 24-26 October 2014 in Berlin. This year’s theme is “Tents” inspired by the famous 17th century Ottoman tent exhibited in the Turkish Chamber of Dresden Armory since 2010. The meeting will begin with the evening opening of the Carpet Galleries of the Museum für Islamische Kunst.

Volkmann-Treffen 26-28 October 2012 in Berlin includes several lectures about fake rugs and forgeries. One of these lectures “Tuduc, the most famous rug forger of the 20th century” Saturday 27 October at 10.30 will be held by Stefano Ionescu.
