Sartirana Textile Show includes a special exhibition of mosaic ‘rugs’ made by the Canadian artist Suzanne Spahi. Her artworks consists of tribal rugs interpreted in miniature mosaics.

Inspired by paintings of oriental rugs

Suzanne Spahi, a mosaic artist and mosaic instructor in Montreal, was inspired by a watercolor painting of an oriental rug, when she decided to realize her idea about intrepretation of oriental rugs into mosaics. Suzanne has always been fascinated by the colors, patterns and the mystery of tribal rugs.
