The Museum of Islamic Art (Museum für Islamische Kunst) presents its collection of Islamic art at the Pergamonmuseum on the Museum Island. The museum has an impressing collection of ancient Anatolian, Persian, Mughal and Cairene carpets.
Volkmentreffen 2012 will take place 26-28 October 2012 in cooperation with the Museum of Islamic Art, National Museum of Berlin.
The exhibition “Ottoman Carpets from Saxon Parishes in Transylvania” at the Museum of Islamic Art in Berlin will go on until 7 January 2007. Along with carpets from Transylvanian Saxon churches the exhibition includes rugs from Brukenthal Museum in Sibiu (Hermannstadt), Romania.
