Sothebys auction “Important Americana, Including Property from the Collection of Foster and Muriel McCarl” 27 September 2012 in New York includes 27 antique rugs and carpets. The viewing exhibition in New York is open Saturday 22 September to Wednesday 26 September. The auction itself starts Thursday 27 September at 10.00am and begins with the rug and carpet lots.

This carpet session includes Persian, Caucasian, Kurdish and Anatolian rugs and carpets and an Indian cotton dhurrie. Most of the carpets and rugs are in the price range between 5.000 – 10.000 USD.
