The annual Sartirana Textile Show will begin in a week Thursday 17 September 2015 and will run through Sunday 20 September. Opening hours are Thursday 17 September 6 pm – 10 pm, Friday 18 September 10 am – 8 pm, Saturday 19 September 10 am – 10 pm, and Sunday 20 September 10 am – 7 pm. More than twenty well known International and Italian antique rug dealers will display their antique rugs and textiles at the fair.
‘I will show an outstanding and early triclinium Sumakh with incredibly fresh colours, a mid 18th century Ningxia with dragon-fret pattern and a previously unpublished single-niche Transylvanian rug of the 17th century’ said Alberto Boralevi to Jozan Magazine.
This years side exhibitions include David Sorgato’s exhibition ‘The Lao Gift’ and an exhibition of prayer rugs from Moshe Tabibnia, Farzin Mollaian and Alberto Boralevi collections. The ‘Tea Time Textile Talks’ Friday and Saturday at 5 pm include speaks by Francesca Fiorentino ‘Prayer Rugs – Some Notes’ and by Bruno Gentili on ‘The Lao Gift’.
