Bonhams auction Period Art & Design 24 June 2012 in San Francisco includes 100 Oriental rugs and carpets from the Heller Ehrman LLP Collection. The law firm Heller Ehrman was founded in 1890 in San Francisco, developed to a global law firm but went bankrupt in 2008.

The Heller Ehrman Collection on sale includes Oriental rugs from most major rug producing areas f.ex. Persian, Caucasian, Anatolian and Turkmen rugs. Both pile rugs, kilims and soumaks are present at this auction. The price levels for the offered rugs are modest with estimates between $200 – $5.000.
