Alberto Levi is recognized for his expertise in antique tribal textile art, particularly from Persia and the Transcaucasus. His work includes co-authoring Sovereign Carpets: Unknown Masterpieces from European Collections (2000), which showcases a range of Oriental rugs displayed during the 9th International Conference on Oriental Carpets in Milan.
Levi has also curated exhibitions, such as ‘From Eurasia with Love: Antique Tribal Textile Art from Persia and the Transcaucasus’ at his gallery in Milan. This exhibition featured approximately 100 pieces and was part of ‘The Hali Colloquium in Italy’ in February 2023.
His contributions have enhanced the appreciation of tribal textile art from these regions.
