Rippon Boswell General Carpet Auction

Category: Auctions

Rippon Boswell will hold their General Carpet Auction 24 March 2012 at 3 pm. in Friedrichstraße 45, Wiesbaden. Previews will take place from 22-24 March.

This auction includes 336 lots, most of them Turkmen, Caucasian, Persian or Anatolian pile rugs. The estimates in this auction are relatively low – circa 50 % of the lots are below 1.000 EUR, given the common collector a chance to acquire an antique collectable rug. The highest estimate is 7.400 EUR for lot 307, a early 20th century Karatchoph Kazak.

Rippon Boswell has just released their online catalogue and the quality of their high resolution images are, as usual, excellent.
