Rippon Boswell’s Major Spring Auction “Collector’s Carpets” took place 19 May 2012 at 3pm in Wiesbaden. The auction was pretty successful.

The absolute highlights of this auction were a Salor main carpet, lot 158, which reached a hammer price of 90.000 EUR and a Ningxia, lot 164, dating from the late Kangxi period, which reached a hammer price of 70.000 EUR.

A Tekke chuval, lot 127, and a Ningxia Seat Cover, lot 170, draw at lot of attention and bids and were both sold high above their estimates.

The Tekke chuval sold for 9.500 compared to it’s estimate of 4.800 EUR and the Ningxia Seat Cover sold for 12.000 EUR compared to it’s estimate of 1.500 EUR.
