Dorotheum’s next carpet specialist sale ‘Oriental Carpets, Textiles & Tapestries’ will take place Tuesday 25 February 2014 at Palais Dorotheum in Vienna. The preview exhibition is open for the public Friday 14 February through Tuesday 25 February. The auction itself starts Tuesday 25 February 2014 at 16.00.

This auction includes 185 carpet and textile lots and among them antique Caucasian, Anatolian, Kurdish, Persian, Turkmen, Balouch, East Turkestan and Chinese rugs and Chinese and Uzbek textiles.

Lot 2. Ninghsia, West China, approx. 160 x 75 cm, early 19th century. Estimate EUR 3.000,- to 4.000,-
Lot 13. Gendje, Central Caucasus, c. 200 x 118 cm, second half of the 19th century. Estimate EUR 2.600,- to 3.000,-
Lot 36. Ersari Chuval, South Turkestan, c. 94 x 155 cm, no later than the mid-19th century. Estimate EUR 2.400,- to 2.800,-
