The Carpet and Textile Forum has announced the final program for the conference taken place 14-16 May 2024 at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott in Santa Barbara County, California. Carpet and Textile Forum is established to promote the understanding of carpets and textiles, through a hands-on approach. The event was previously known as “Rug Collectors’ Weekend” but the name was changed in 2023.
Tuesday 14 May
- 4:00pm: Wine Reception on patio
- 5:00-9:00pm: Dealer’s Show. Sixteen dealers will offer a variety of carpets & textiles, with Wine Reception.
Wednesday 15 May

- 9:45-10:00am: Bruce Baganz and other Board Members of the Near Eastern Research Center, present the 2024 Joseph V. McMullan Award for Scholarship and Stewardship in Islamic Rugs & Textiles; this award is recognized as the highest accolade in the international field of oriental carpets, issued by the Trustees of the Near Eastern Art Research Center.
