Netherhampton Saleroom, Salisbury UK, will hold their next special carpet auction ‘Carpets, Rugs & Books’ Wednesday 13 July 2016 at 10.30 am. Their viewing exhibition will be open for the public Monday, 11 July 10a.m.-5p.m. Tuesday 12 July 10a.m.-5p.m., and morning of sale 8.30a.m.-10 a.m.

The auction includes 341 lots from all major rug producing areas Persia, Anatolia, Caucasus, Turkmenistan, China and a few rug books.

Lot 420. Khamseh Confederacy rug, possibly by the Ainalu Arab Nomads, Fars Province, south west Persia, last quarter 19th century, 6ft. 1in. x 4ft. 9in. 1.86m. x 1.45m. Estimate: £2500-3500
Lot 419. Neiriz rug of all over ‘gol farangi’ design, Fars, south west Persia, early 20th century, 6ft. 2in. x 4ft. 4in. 1.88m. x 1.22m. Estimate: £1500-2000
Lot 335. Saryk Turkmen part silk main carpet, Turkmenistan, early 20th century, 12ft. x 7ft. 11in. 3.66m. x 2.41m. Estimate: £4000-6000
