Nazmiyal antique rug auction 16 May

Part 2 of Nazmiyal Auctions sale of rugs and carpets from a prominent New York rug dealer will take place in a few days 16 May 2021 at 11 am. The sale includes 170 antique and vintage rugs and carpets.

Among the Persian offers is a 17 ft. x 10 ft. 6 in. Kerman carpet, lot 1016, and an oversized Sultanabad carpet, lot 1062.

Lot 1016. ANTIQUE PERSIAN KERMAN RUG. 17 FT X 10 FT 6 IN (5.18 M X 3.2 M). Estimate: $25,000 – $35,000

Lot 1062. ANTIQUE OVERSIZED PERSIAN SULTANABAD RUG 22 FT X 11 FT 6 IN (6.71 M X 3.51 M). Estimate: $30,000 – $40,000

Tribal pieces include a Yomud main carpet, lot 1006, a Khirgiz felt rug, lot 1101, and a camel field Balouch rug lot 1120.

Lot 1006. ANTIQUE YOMUD CENTRAL ASIAN RUG. 10 FT 10 IN X 5 FT 10 IN (3.3 M X 1.78 M). Estimate: $5,000 – $10,000

Lot 1101. ANTIQUE CENTRAL ASIA KHIRGIZ FELT RUG. 11 FT 3 IN X 4 FT 6 IN (3.43 M X 1.37 M). Estimate: $5,000 – $10,000

Lot 1120. ANTIQUE PERSIAN BALUCH RUG. 4 FT 6 IN X 3 FT 1 IN (1.37 M X 0.94 M). Estimate: $1,000 – $2,000

Among the Chinese and East Turkestan examples are a two-toned Chinese rug, Lot 1022, a Khotan rug, lot 1024, and a blue and white Chinese Carpet, lot 1035.

Lot 1035. ANTIQUE CHINESE RUG. 11 FT X 8 FT (3.35 M X 2.44 M). Estimate: $8,000 – $10,000
