Category: Auctions

The Department of Rugs & Carpets, Tapestries at Nagel Auktionen holds auction with Oriental rugs, carpets and textiles on May 18, 2004. The auction includes 226 antique Turkmen, Caucasian, Anatolian and Persian rugs together with Central Asian textiles. There are 226 lots.
Head of the department – Uwe Jourdan – is rug expert, specialist and author of “Oriental Rugs, Turkoman” and several other rug books.
“I think this auction has a very balanced offer with a lot of fresh material, not only composed of well known dealer’s merchandise”, says Uwe Jourdan to Jozan Magazine. “It is not just a selection of pieces from the upper end of the price ranges, perfectly made up to attract a specific type of buyers and it is also not only a selection of decorative room-size pieces for international dealers and interior designers. I therefore like what I see looking at this catalogue and hope that it will be esteemed by our clientele as well”.
