Mazandaran kilims
Mazandaran kilims will be on display at The Royal Museum of Fine Art’s exhibition ‘Encounters’ which opened in May in Antwerp and will run through 20 August 2017. The vision of the exhibition ‘Encounters’ is to show that art needs no explanation to impact or change us. Art does something to people; it makes a lasting impression and gives new insights.
‘The kilims’s from Mazandaran exhibited in the Royal Museum of Fine Art (MAS) in Antwerp, is a huge success and well received. Finally, I feel these woven art are getting the attention they deserve and I hope they will be shown in other museums around the world as well’ said Werner Weber to Jozan Magazine.
The kilims exhibited was also published in the book ‘Undiscovered Minimalism: Gelims from Northern Iran” by Parviz Tanavoli and Werner Weber, an antique textile dealer from Zurich and a foremost expert in this field.
