Material Culture will hold their auction ‘Fine Carpets, Textiles & Ethnographic Arts’ on Friday 19 September 2014 at 10 am in Philadelphia. The public preview exhibition is open Wednesday-Thursday 17-18 September daily from 11 am to 5 pm. The auction includes 400+ lots of oriental carpets, textiles and ethnographic and decorative arts.

According to Material Culture carpet highlights include a 19th century Turkish Oushak carpet (22′ x 25′), and a collection of 54 antique and vintage Moroccan carpets, including many white ground Beni Ouraine carpets.  Collectors of Chinese and Tibetan rugs and textiles will find a broad range of 17th to early 20th century items.
