An exhibition “For Tent and Trade: Masterpieces of Turkmen Weaving” will be held by the de Young Museum in San Francisco 15 December 2007 – 27 April 2008.

The Textiles Department at the de Young Museum holds an excellent collection of Turkmen carpets. The exhibition “Masterpieces of Turkmen Weaving” displays approximately 40 rugs and tent trappings from this collection.This exhibition is organized by FAMSF and celebrates gifts from the primary donors to the textile collection: H. McCoy Jones, Caroline McCoy-Jones, George and Marie Hecksher, and Wolfgang and Gisela Wiedersperg.
