LARTA 2018 was a success
The London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair 2018 – LARTA 2018 – took place 23-28 January at Battersea Evolution and was a success. Nearly all dealers were very pleased with their week on all fronts: satisfactory business with private, interior design and trade clients, and many new potential customers to follow-up with. Trade buyers flew in from all quarters of the globe, with well-known names in the carpet and textile world present such as Armand Deroyan from Paris, Max Lerch from Munich and Noah Balour from California.
A continuing trend is for rugs and carpets to be repatriated and there were reports of Chinese rugs and textiles going to Chinese buyers, and Persian rugs returning to Iran.
“LARTA 2018, was better attended, and with equally good sales, as at our first iteration in 2017 here at Battersea. It was a great success, and attendance increased yet again.” said Aaron Nejad, organizer and also exhibitor at the fair.
LARTA 2019 will take place from 22-27 January within the Winter 2019 Decorative Fair, Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park, London.
