International auction including carpets in Copenhagen

Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers next auction with Oriental rugs and carpets will take place 27 February – 7 March 2013. The exact auction date is not released yet but the preview exhibition will be open for the public  21 – 26 February at Bredgade 33 , Copenhagen.

Bruun Rasmussen holds four international auctions including carpets each year, often with focus on antique and semi-antique decorative Persian  carpets.

“The upcoming international sale no. 838 includes a wide variety of antique, old and contemporary oriental rugs and carpets” said Henrik Schleppegrell, Bruun Rasmussen’s carpet expert to Jozan Magazine.

Tekke main carpet, Turkmenistan. Mid 19th century. 301 x 208 cm. Est. 13.500-15.000.- Euro.
Marasali prayer rug
A fine weave Marasali prayer rug, East Caucasus. Second half 19th century. 139 x 125 cm. Est. 16.000.- Euro.
Isfahan rug
A signed Isfahan rug, Persia. Signed: Sherkate Sahamiye Farshe Iran. Mid 20th century. 220 x 130 cm. Est. 1600-2000.- Euro
A fine full silk Hereke rug, Turkey. Classical prayer design. C. 1.9 mio. kn. pr. sqm. 20th century. 142 x 98 cm. Est. 1600-2000.- Euro
