Jozan Magazine has asked Michael Craycraft, Galerie ArabesQue, about his impressions of the first fair days.”It’s well into the second day here and the feeling is quite extraordinary, even euphoric. The ambiance is lively, festive, and fun. Many sales, happy reunions, amicable debates, lively discussions, great wine, and fabulous food. The weather was friendly; mostly sunny with temperatures reaching 72 (22 centigrade) degrees”, said Michael Craycraft.
Dirk Bass, vintner and classical rug collector, “I’ve never seen such a swamp of gorgeous bag faces in my life. For me the Hans Homm Mughal rug and Transylvanian prayer rug alone were worth the trip.”
Ben Evans, editor of HALI, “I was impressed that there was no need for vetting. The selection of dealers negated this issue. I rather liked the open format where nothing occurs behind closed doors, all is transparent + the prices were realistic”.
Paul Romero, enthusiast. “Come”.
Jerome Singer, retired oriental rug company manager, “An orgasmic collection of textiles. The mood is fantastic. Perfect weather. Will come back soon.”
