The long waited ICOC Stockholm website is now online with conference registration. Early registration with discounted price is now possible and can be cancelled with 100 % refund until 16 February 2011.

ICOC Stockholm will take place 16 – 19 June 2011. The conference also includes pre- and postconference tours  to Copenhagen and St. Petersbourg. Registrations for the Copenhagen tour are done together with the main-conference registration while registrations for St. Petersburg are done through ICOC’s agent in Russia.

The academic program for ICOC Stockholm is not yet revealed and there is still time for speakers to send proposals to ICOC. Dead-line for proposals is 30 September 2010.

During ICOC there will be a lot of exhibitions and events to join. An exhibition of rare Turkmen carpets, tentbands and trappings will be shown at the fair ground together with Swedish owned Oriental carpets and Scandinavian textiles of high quality. A silk rug exhibition will also be on view and ICOC will include a Dealer Fair.

In the evenings there will be exhibitions at the Royal Palace and at several museums. Transylvanian rugs, Polonaise rugs, Swedish folkart textiles, Sami objects from Lappland,  the unique Marby rug and a lot of other of rug and textile artifacts will be among the “offerings”.
