The chair of ICOC’s International Comittee, Peter Bichler, has just informed the committee members about progress in the planning of upcoming ICOC activities for 2012 and 2013.
“The National Gallery of Prague is happy with the goal of the ICOC to organize a symposium in the St. Agnes Convent in Prague. This will lead to more concrete discussions and planning in the months to come” said Peter Bichler to Jozan Magazine.
The Medieval Convent of St. Agnes is now the seat of Medieval and Early Renaissance Art in Bohemia and Central Europe and will during the symposium in June 2013 host an unique exhibition of historical carpets and early paintings which depict carpets. This ICOC symposium will include visits to both Prague and Budapest. A special experience for both cities will be Jewish textiles.
“Regarding a possible ICOC Symposium or Congress in Baku in the end of 2012, I have been informed by our member Ms. Roya Taghiyeva, that talks with the respective Ministry are underway and a positive outcome is in sight” said Peter Bichler.
