ICOC Academic Committee has now released the lecture program for the coming International Conference on Oriental Carpets 6-8 June 2024 in Istanbul at the Marmara Taksim Hotel. The theme for ICOC XV’s lecture program is ‘Oriental Carpet Studies 2024: The Past and Future of Carpet Weaving and Collecting’.

The lectures are divided in eight interesting sessions: Historical Carpets, Archeology of Weavings, Discoveries in Collections, Textiles and Flatweaves, Central Asian Carpets and Felts, Trends in New Carpet Production, Innovation in Tradition and The Future of Tradition.

ICOC Academic Committee includes Alberto Boralevi, Udo Hirsch, Reyhan Polat, Markus Voigt, Wendel Swan and Ali Riza Tuna.
