The ICOC academic program includes different areas of carpet studies f.ex. early and later nomad, village and workshop pile carpets and flat-weaves gathered by geographical origin.
The deadline for proposals was 8 November 2010.
“We have recieved more than 90 abstracts and have room for 45-50” says chair of The Academic Committee Alberto Boralevi to Jozan Magazine. “This means we have to cut 50 %, a hard job to do”, he continues.
The ICOC Academic Committee will have a meeting in Stockholm at the end of January 2011. The committee members include Alberto Boralevi (Chair), Anette Granlund (Chair LOC), Thomas Farnham (Chair Publications Committee), Margareta Nockert (Sweden), Elena Tsareva (Russia), Peter Bichler (Austria) and Daniel Shaffer (UK).
ICOC Stockholm will take place 16-19 June 2011.
