
The 10th International Conference on Oriental Carpets will be held in Washington, DC from 17 – 21 April 2003.
The conference will include an academic program, exhibitions, a carpet fair in 71 booths and both pre- and post conference tours. ICOC Chairman Murray L. Eiland, Jr., will conduct the Academic Sessions.
The conference will include the following exhibitions: Textile Art of Southwest Persia, Kurdish Rugs from the James Burns Collection, Textile Art of Southwest Persia, Kaitag Embroideries and The Engsi: Doorway to Paradise A Collectors’ Potpourri.Special arrangement in Washington include: Khordjin and Mafrash from Northwest Persia, Carpets of Andalusia, Mamluk Rugs of Egypt and Treasures from Museums of Uzbekistan.
