Grogan held their May Auction 20 May 2012. This auction included 119 antique rugs and carpets and 85 % were sold. Circa 75 % sold above or within the presale estimate.

The total presale estimate was $260,000-412,000, and the realized total $385,250 which was towards the high end of the estimate.

The auction highlights included a 17/18 th century West Anatolian Village rug, lot 508, which sold for $41,300, a 19th century Yellow Ground Kuba, lot 510A, which sold for $44,250, an early 19th century Tree Kazak rug, lot 595, which sold for $16,500 and a unusual 19th century Youmud ensi, lot 507, which sold for $11,800.
