Grogan’s June Sale including rugs and carpets

Grogan and Company’s June Auction includes Oriental rugs, carpets and tapestries beside American and European paintings, prints and drawings, jewelry and silver, furniture and decorative works of art.  The carpet lots, lot 700 – lot 765, include antique, semi-antique and old Persian rugs, antique Caucasian rugs and carpets together with a few Balouch and Turkmen rugs. The auction begins 8 June 2014 at 10.00 am and the preview exhibition is open for the public from Thursday 5 June – Saturday 7 June, daily from 10 am – 6 pm, and on the day of the auction Sunday 8 June from 9.00 am – 10 am.

Lot 737. AFSHAR RUG, Persia, ca. 1920; 6 ft. x 4 ft. 1 in. Estimate $500-700
