Alberto Levi will hold this years Caroline and H. McCoy Jones memorial lecture about Early Anatolian Kilims 19 October, 1pm at de Young Museum in San Francisco.

Alberto Levi, Milan, has studied tribal rugs and textiles for many years and has served as a regular contributor to Ghereh and Hali magazines. He served as chairman for the ICOC in Milan and Florence in 1999.

His lecture is followed by a panel discussion with Alberto Levi, Cathryn Cootner and Jim Dixon; moderated by Hali’s editor Ben Evans.

This lecture is presented in collaboration with the exhibition “The Art of the Anatolian Kilim: Highlights from the McCoy Jones Collection” on display 10 September through 10 June 2010 at the de Young Museum.

The exhibition and lecture is a part of the San Francisco Rug Week which also includes the Antique Rug & Textile Show 20-23 October 2011 at Motel Capri.
