Carpet Design Awards – the final round

The shortlist for the Carpet Design Awards 2011 at Domotex Hanover 15-18 January 2011 is now drawn up.  The shortlisted companies will remain anonymous until the final judging day on Friday 14 January and the winners for each category will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday 16 January.

The CDA 2011 was open for the first time also to non-exhibiting companies, and got 186 entries from over 20 countries.

30 carpets in ten categories have been chosen for the final round and will be on display  in Hall 21, stand E12 until Tuesday 18 January.

The categories include modern carpets in 3 subcategories, nomadic rugs in 2 subcategories, urban carpets, antique carpets, best modern collection,  best traditional collection and best innovation. A special eleventh category includes the visitors favourite.

The international jury includes John W. Bain (UK), Montse Cuesta (ES), James A. Ffrench (USA), Ewald Schlögl (A) and David Sorgato (IT).
