Specialist carpet auction at Dorotheum, Vienna

Dorotheum’s next specialist carpet auction “Oriental Carpets, Textiles and Tapestries” will take place at Palais Dorotheum in Vienna 27 May 2013 at 14.00. Their viewing exhibition will be open for the public  18-27 May.

Their carpet specialist auctions have drawn a lot of attention recent years and also this May auction with 212 lots includes a broad and interesting selection of both antique tribal and decorative rugs and textiles.

Lot 81. Balouch Salar Khani from the beginning of the 20th century. Size 194 x 100 cm. Estimate 800 – 1,000 EUR
Lot 94. Kurdish carpet first half 19th century. Size 280 x 157 cm. Estimate 4,000 – 5,000 EUR
Lot 95. Anatolian Karapinar first half 19th century. Size 205 x 137. Estimate 8,000 – 9,000 EUR
