Bonhams ‘Period Design’ including rugs and carpets will take place 30 April 2013 in London. The carpet session starts Tuesday 30 April at 12.30 and the preview exhibition at Knightsbridge will be open  28 April 11.00 – 15.00, 29 April 09.00 – 18.30 and 30 April 09.00 – 10.30.

The carpet session includes 47 rugs and carpets, most of them of Persian origin. A few Anatolian and Caucasian rugs are represented too. The estimates range from 500 GBP to 15,000 GBP.

Lot 52, a Karaja carpet, North West Persia, 379cm x 263cm. Estimate: £4,000 – 6,000
Lot 55, a Kashgai rug, South West Persia, 238cm x 168cm. Estimate: £600 – 800
Lot 229, a Heriz carpet, North West Persia, 385cm x 296cm. Estimate: £4,000 – 6,000
Lot 230, a Kashan carpet, Central Persia, 435cm x 325cm. Estimate: £2,500 – 3,500
Lot 321, a Sarouk carpet, West Persia, 380cm x 322cm. Estimate: £2,000 – 3,000
