Bonhams next specialist carpet auction “Fine Oriental Rugs & Carpets” will take place in New York 9 October 2012 and a simulcast session will take place in Los Angeles. Viewing exhibitions are arranged in San Francisco 7-9 September, in Los Angeles 21-23 September and in New York 6-8 October.

This specialist Oriental rug auction includes 148 lots. Caucasian, Chinese, Turkoman and Anatolian rugs are represented but the major part of these lots, approximately 100 lots,  are antique and semi-antique Persian rugs and carpets.

Lot 3000. A circa 1920 Malayer rug Central Persia size approximately 3ft. 4in. x 4ft. 3in. Estimate: US$ 2,000 – 3,000
Lot 3006. A late 19th century Heriz carpet Northwest Persia size approximately 8ft. 7in. x 11ft. 6in. Estimate: US$ 3,000 – 5,000
Lot 3020. A Malayer rug Central Persia circa 1920 size approximately 4ft. x 6ft. 2in. Estimate: US$ 3,500 – 5,500
Lot 3030. A Senneh rug Central Persia late 19th century size approximately 4ft. 4in. x 6ft. 6in. Estimate: US$ 4,500 – 5,500
Lot 3072. A Bakshaish carpet Northwest Persia late 19th century size approximately 11ft. 5in. x 14ft. 6in. Estimate: US$ 8,500 – 9,500
Lot 3084. A Sultanabad carpet Central Persia lat 19th century size approximately 10ft. 10in. x 14ft. 7in. Estimate: US$ 16,000 – 20,000
Lot 3088. A Tabriz carpet Northwest Persia circa 1910 approximately size 8ft. 9in. x 11ft. 9in. Estimate: US$ 8,000 – 12,000
Lot 3107. A Kerman carpet South Central Persia circa 1920 size approximately 12ft. 7in. x 25ft. Estimate: US$ 12,000 – 14,000
Lot 3147. A Fereghan carpet Central Persia circa 1900 size approximately 12ft. 3in. x 19ft. Estimate: US$ 15,000 – 20,000
