A Malayer rug, Northwest Persia, approximately 6ft. 6in. by 4ft. 4in. (1.98 by 1.31m.) Pile generally good, closely sheared; 1/8th of an inch throughout. A few scattered areas of minor foldware with pile low to knotheads, very few scattered small reweaves. Some minor scattered moth tracks. Scattered spot stains and surface dirt, recommend cleaning. Some corners curling under due to density of weave. Partially overcast sides, now with fraying and losses. Lower end with original flat woven finish, with losses; upper end with remnants of flat woven finish, some fraying; now secured with blanket stitch.
