Visitor satisfaction at ARTS 2012

Category: Fairs and conferences

Since the first San Francisco Antique Rug & Textile Show in 2009 Nick Wright has done an annual visitor survey. The purpose with this survey is to improve the quality and promotion of the show based on the survey and comments from the ARTS visitors.

“Because we cannot control the entrance to the Capri Motel, we can only estimate the number of different people who came from Thursday afternoon through Sunday. We feel that that number was between 200 and 250 different individuals” said Nick Wright to Jozan Magazine.

As for comments by visitors on the Consumer Satisfaction Survey forms, Nick Wright reported the following comments: ‘A rare opportunity to see many quality rugs’, ‘The lovely attitudes of the dealers’, ‘Incredible amount of good material’, ‘Selection of dealers and their material very strong this year’, ‘Good old rugs. Nice, friendly people’, and ‘Many dealers with their best wares. An opportunity to see many quality rugs’.

“There was a general feeling that the opening reception, with its excellent Mediterranean cuisine was a success, and very well received. The opening of the show at 2 pm on Thursday allowed for better viewing of rugs and textiles in natural light by the ‘early birds’ and the exhibition of old Turkish prayer rugs was well-visited” said Nick Wright.
