Christies ‘Art of the Islamic and Indian Worlds including Oriental Rugs and Carpets’ will take place 27 October 2022 at 10am in London. This auction includes 104 carpet lots and among them some very expensive carpets. Lot 200, an Imperial Mughal Carpet, circa 1650, has an estimate of 2.500.000 – 3.500.000 GBP. The carpet is woven as a royal commission for the emperor Shah Jahan and never before seen at an auction.

Viewing times 22-23 October 12pm-5pm, 24 October 9am-5pm, 25 October 9am– 8pm and 26 October 9am–5pm in King Street.
