Christies coming auction ‘Art of the Islamic and Indian Worlds Including Oriental Rugs and Carpets’ 27 April 2023 in London includes 95 carpet lots, and among them very old Anatolian rugs, Caucasian rugs, Persian rugs and more. The viewing exhibition in King Street is open for the public 22-26 April.

The most expensive rug is lot 195, an 15th / early 16th century Anatolian rug with an estimate of 100.000 – 150.000 GBP.
