Nazmiyal Auction will hold their next online auction ‘Selected Collection of Vintage and Antique Rugs from Various Estates and Nazmiyal’s Collection’ 21 January 2021. The auction includes 150 lots. Viewings take place Saturday 16 January – Sunday 17 January and by appointment Monday 18 January – Thursday 21 January.

Jozan Magazine has asked Farhad Langaroodi, Director of Nazmiyal Auctions, to tell more about the auction. “With starting bids ranging from $100 to $20,000, the sale features an attractive selection of room sized Persian, Turkish, Indian and Chinese decorative carpets. Tribal pieces from Turkmenistan and Persia, as well as a group of interesting Balkan kilims and bags, are also highlights. Colorful Caucasian rugs, 20th century Swedish kilims and Moroccan rugs round out the sale. The top lot and also the earliest carpet in the sale is lot 8107, a large 16th century Cairene carpet from Egypt with an estimate $30,000-50,000.” says Farhad Langaroodi to Jozan Magazine.
