Antique rug fairs in September and October

Some of the important annual antique rug fairs will take place in the coming months. In Europe the Sartirana Textile Show will run from 13 through 16 September 2018 and in the US the Antique Rug & Textile Show will take place 19-21 October 2018.

One of the exhibitors at the Sartirana Textile Show James Cohen will also exhibit at the Antique Rug & Textile Show in San Francisco. Jozan Magazine has asked him to show a few of his rugs that will be on display.

Epirus embroidery
A 17th century Epirus embroidery, mounted, featuring giant parrots, dragons and deer, approx 1’8″ x 1’8″. Exhibitor James Cohen.
Shahsavan kilim
Shahsavan kilim circa 1890, with a modernist design of colourful stripes. Approximately 11’0″ x 6’0″. Exhibitor James Cohen.
Serapi carpet
A Serapi carpet 10′ x 12′ circa 1900. Exhibitor James Cohen.
Kurdish Juval
A kurdish Juval, 3’5″ x 2’8″ circa 1900 with glossy pile. Exhibitor James Cohen.
Jaf bagface
