Sothebys will hold a special sale “A Passion for Collecting: The Rugs and Carpets of a Connoisseur” 27 November 2019 at 3 pm in London. The preview is open for the public 22-26 November .

The sale includes a collection of 116 rugs and carpets, including rare collectors’ pieces, from the 16th to 19th centuries, decorative carpets from the 19th and 20th centuries, and tribal and village rugs, representing all the major weaving areas. The collection is assembled by a connoisseur with a life-long interest in carpets.
