DESCRIPTION: Khamseh bag from South Persia with an unusual stripes design.The piece is very soft,finely woven,circa 1880 and measures 2´.7"x2´.0" (77x61cm) Good quality Khamseh bags are in demand by dealers and collectors.This one has a cane design with unusual red corners.The piece is rich in borders and apart from the narrow barber pole borders there are three different ones in different colors.The end checker board panel is mostly there and the bag is full of irregularities such as interruptions,change of colors etc.The piece has mostly good pile but there are areas with low pile as well.The colors are great and well saturated.It is a very attractive piece with lots of qualities.
