Brüggemann & Böhmer published a related yastik, also a white-ground example, of this rare group with the palmette design. The design is seen more frequently on a red or orange ground than a white one. This small jewel of Turkish folk art has colours of outstanding quality and wonderful wool, making it a “first among equals”. Very well preserved considering its age, small repairs, slight traces of wear.
